071: Online Dating, Ghosting, Dating Disasters, Sex Toys and Orgasms with Laura Lane and Angela Spera

This week I am joined by the hosts of the This Is Why You’re Single Show, Laura Lane and Angela Spear. They also recently wrote a book of the same name. This was one hilarious interview, I loved every second of it! What’s the deal with online dating? We chatted all about that and we shared some of our online dating disastrous tales. So.much.fun!

We also jammed on:

  • Ghosting: why it happens and what to do
  • Long distance relationships
  • Our dating disasters, including a few of my own
  • Is dating older men a trend?
  • Instagram dating: is it the latest dating opportunity?
  • Orgasms and the O’Shot

About Angela Spera
Angela is a comedy writer, performer and marketing/social media director based in New York City. She wrote jokes for season 5 of TruTV’s show Billy on the Street and was a story producer on the “ambush comedy talk show” Start Talkin’ with Scott Rogowsky. As a marketing director she’s done everything from plan a prom for privileged preschoolers to promoting a band comprised solely of singing gynecologists. She studied sketch comedy at the Peoples Improv Theater. Her training in the first ever Murderfist workshop, “How To Make A Million Dollars Doing Sketch Comedy,” is where she learned the recipe for fake blood, combined with a childhood love of The Carol Burnett Show, results in what some might call a unique comedic sensibility. Previous relationships, disappointments, and makeouts include: a fisherman, a part-time professor, a production assistant, a state park employee, an accountant, a veterinarian, the guy that played Jesus in her high school production of Godspell, several stand-ups, and one guy who identified as a “revolutionary.” She’s been told on Tinder that she’s “not naughty enough,” which she agrees is accurate.
